Vista Alegre factory supplies IKEA

The Vista Alegre Atlantis group is to build new 19.5 million euro tableware and stoneware plant, creating 144 new jobs, at Ílhavo to supply IKEA with tableware for its flat pack outlets.
The Swedish multinational will have a financial stake in the investment which will be rolled out over the next 24 months.

The company aims to produce 30 million pieces a year, largely geared for exports set to absorb 85% to 90% of new production turnover, with the remainder for IKEA's local stores .
