Portugal as a tourist destination

From 22 to 27 May, and in partnership with Tourism Portugal and Air Emirates, a Fan Trip tour of tourism operators coming from the UAE (Abu Dhabi) came to Portugal.
This Fam trip, in collaboration with the Portuguese Embassy and AICEP in the Abu Dhabi, was a further step to showcase our country to an emerging market, with particular interest to Portugal, especially after the opening of the direct route Lisbon-Dubai provided by Air Emirates.
The operators visited the Region of Lisbon and Algarve, including tourist facilities and hotels, and there was still room for an informal meeting with about 30 Portuguese companies for networking and exchange of contacts.
This visit has resulted in the inclusion of Portugal at the Omeir Travel site, offering luxury packages of at the omeir.com website, as well as on the website of Gray Mackenzie Travel Services (GMP) at the adress gmptravel.to , where Portugal figures prominently in the its featured destinations section.
