Herdade das Servas brings gold medals to Alentejo

Herdade das Servas brings gold medals to Alentejo In the space of fifteen days, four were the times when gold medals were awarded to the Alentejo's Herdade das Servas.
From Canada came a gold medal for the Herdade das Servas Colheita Seleccionada tinto 2010, attributed in the 20th edition of the international Sélections Mondiales Vins 2013 competition . This wine was also awarded a gold medal in the Wines of Portugal Contest 2013.
The Herdade das Servas Vinhas Velhas tinto 2009 did not travel to the contest of Canada - since it is a wine with an extremely limited production and therefore will not be in this market - but has been tested and certified, internationally, in France, whence it came with a gold medal, or to be more precise, the trophy Citadelles D'or, awarded at the 13th edition of the Les Citadelles du Vin world competition. In Portugal, it earned the gold medal in the Wines of Portugal 2013 Competition (formerly 'National Wine Competition').
Both are terroir wines that rank at the top level of Herdade das Servas' wines. Vinhas Velhas is even the frontpiece of the company. This 2009 crop is only the second released on the market (the first being in 2005), due to the pursuit of excellence required to produce this exceptional wine.
