Embraer to participate in fair in Dubai The Brazilian aircraft maker should take two of its models to Dubai Air Show, a fair in the sector to be promoted in the United Arab Emirates next week.
Brazilian aircraft maker Embraer announced on Monday (11) that it should participate next week in the 13th edition of the Dubai Air Show, the aviation fair to take place in the city. The Brazilian aircraft maker stated, in a press statement, that it should promote its entire line during the fair and should take a unit of the Legacy 650 and another of the Lineage 1000, its two largest executive aviation aircraft.

According to the company, the Middle East is the main market for the Lineage 1000 and the second main market for the Legacy 650. The Lineage may fly up to 8,519 kilometres without stopping for refuelling with up to eight passengers and crew members aboard. Starting from Dubai, it may reach Madrid, London, Paris, New Delhi, Beijing, Moscow and Tokyo, among other destinations, non-stop. The Legacy 650, in turn, can fly 7,223 km with four passengers and two crew members.

According to an Embraer press statement, participation of the Brazilian company?s jets is on the rise in the Middle East. The company?s first commercial jet to operate in the region was an E170, in 2005, bought by Saudi Arabian Airlines. Currently, there are 63 aircraft in the Embraer commercial jet family (E170, E175, E190 e E195) operated by nine airlines in the Arab world.

Apart from using Embraer jets, the Arab nations also include three aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul centres. The maintenance centre for commercial jests is in Cairo, Egypt, in North Africa. The executive aircraft, in turn, may be sent to Dubai or Abu Dhabi for periodic revisions.

Dubai Air Show will take place at the Dubai World Central from November 17 to 21. According to the organizers of the fair, there should be 1,000 exhibitors and 60,000 visitors. Apart from participating in the event, Embraer should grant a press conference on the first day of the event. The Brazilian aircraft maker has already made deals at previous editions of the fair.
