Continental Mabor named the best company of the year

Continental Mabor named the best company of the year Exame magazine's annual study named Continental Mabor, a German company with Portuguese leadership, as the best of 2011.


Continental Mabor was named the best company of the year in Exame magazine's annual study. The German multinational, led in Portugal by José Carvalho Neto, achieved the highest score based on the criteria of growth in sales and profits, sales profitability, equity and assets, solvency, liquidity and gross value added by sales.

The company closed 2011 with a growth of 25.6% in sales, 11.4% in earnings and 55.8% in gross value added. "The 63 million invested in equipment and $ 20 million invested in infrastructure by 2013 is well underway", writes the magazine Exame.

Producing more than 70,000 tires per day, feeding a daily movement of 150 trucks, the factory closed 2011 with a record 16.4 million tires sold and a place in the group of the largest domestic exporters.", it adds.

Exame revealed this afternoon the ranking of the 500 best and biggest Portuguese companies which, in terms of turnover, is headed by Petrogal, EDP Serviço Universal, EDP Distribuição, Modelo Continente and Pingo Doce.
