The production of ratios began at 1983 byt the initiative of Mr. Mário Franco and his wife, Leonilde Leonardo, using scarce resources and own installations. There was a need to invest in a modern production unit with better production capacity. The factory at Cabanas do Chão was open in 1989, giving birth to the Rações Franco. More than twenty years later, the Franco group is a major player in the market of animal rations.
